Viktor Peters is a visual storyteller who explores the transformative power of makeup. Of German decent, he was born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico and later moved to Canada at the age of 17. In 2011 Viktor began his career in makeup and was later appointed a spokesperson for M.A.C. where he led makeup presentations, and artistic creation of social media and marketing initiatives.
In his work, Viktor fuses his expansive knowledge of pop culture with early and contemporary makeup techniques to transform himself and subjects into different personas. This approach has helped cement his place as Canada's leading Drag makeup artist.
Viktor's Celebrity clientele has included Christine Quinn, Gigi Gorgeous, Amanda Brugel, Emily Hampshire, Nicholas Cage Lu Kala, Sacha, Reve, Traci Melchor and Sarain Fox.
Viktor's editorial work has appeared in Elle Canada, Fashion Magazine, Marie Clair Arabia, L'Officiel Home, LFrench, and Schon. His brand collaborations include Charlotte Tilbury, Glossier, NYX, Hudson's Bay, Eyeko and Lit Cosmetics. In 2020, he was commissioned by MAC’s global team to create an iconic Lipstick campaign using his signature macro beauty style.
Peters is the makeup artist of choice for Host of Canada's Drag Race, Brooke Lynn Hytes. He has also painted the faces of Vanessa Vanjie Matteo, Toddrick Hall, Detox, Naomi Smalls, Tayce, Dakota Schiffer, Black Peppa, Jimbo, Priyanka, Kendall Gender, Gisèle Lullaby, Crystal, Jasmine Kennedie, Tynomi Banks, and Lemon.
In 2022, Viktor debuted his drag alter ego, Veruschka. Named after the iconic fashion model of the sixties and seventies, Veruschka is the embodiment of his skills, interests and experience into one bewitching persona.
Viktor was awarded Makeup Artist of the Year at the 2022 Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards.
