Wilson Wong is a creative director and still life stylist.
Wilson moved from Hong Kong to Toronto at 17 to further his education; as he studied Visual Presentation he fell in love with the arts. Wong was offered a position on the visual team of a major department store before graduation. He joined the freelance off-figure styling world in 2000.
Wong's clients include Holt Renfrew, Harry Rosen, Hudson's Bay, Uniqlo, Le Chateau, Nike, Winners, Tip Top Tailors, HomeSense, Town Shoes, The Shoe Company, Perricone, Joe Fresh Beauty and Indigo; publications have included Harry Magazine, The Globe and Mail, Canadian Living, Canadian House & Home, Flare, Weddingbells, Metal Magazine, Schön!, Vulkan, Blowe, Where Toronto and The National Post. Wong also designed window displays for Hermes Canada and Josephson Opticians.
Wong met Joe Mimran who recruited him to his company JM&A in 2008. He then designed a trade-show booth for Pink Tartan at the Coterie, NYC. Wong is unique in the off-figure world as he has managed photoshoots for Loblaws GM brands such as President's Choice, Everyday Essentials, Tera Gear, Jump Kids, and Jogi. He held the full-time position for eight years at Loblaws before moving back to the freelance world.
Wong was awarded 1 platinum, 5 gold and 2 silver awards at the 2020 Graphis Photography Annual. In 2019, he was awarded Best Beauty Still Life award at the P&G Awards, as well as, 2 platinum, 3 gold and 4 silver awards at the Graphis Photography Annual. In 2018, he was awarded 1 gold and 3 silver awards at the Graphis Photography Annual and 1 platinum, 1 gold and 3 silver awards in 2017.
